The headless body of an unidentified teenaged girl is discovered in the waters of the Haro Strait. Another girl and another statistic in the list of missing and murdered in the Pacific Northwest. When yet another girl goes missing from nearby Bellingham, Washington, crime reporter Tess McClintock is made aware of the case after she's sent a map that appears to mark the location of a number of bodies, including the one in the Haro Strait.
