A riveting haunted house mystery box set!

    The Guest House Hauntings

Ezra and Carla are struggling to make ends meet when they are presented with an offer they can’t refuse: restore an old bed-and-breakfast with a sinister past.

    The Haunting of Bell Mansion

Sarah thought the small town of Bell, Maine, was the answer to her troubles.

Bell, Maine, is a small town with rural roots. While its citizens have fallen on hard times, they've managed to survive decades of harsh, northern winters. But when drifter Sarah Pembrooke rolls into town looking for work, the frigid cold will be the least of their worries.

The first book was about selfish greed. The villains were a surprise. Clara was hard to like because of the way she treated her husband like he was an afterthought. It seemed all about her. She became palatable at the end. The next 2 books are one story, and it is senseless killing and curses with creature that change shapes and have powers. The ending was a bit anticlimactic after all the hoopla, but a decent story. I voluntarily listened to a free copy of this and am giving an honest review. The narrators did a good job bringing it to life.

    Soooo boring!

I tried to make it through the 1st story but had to stop about ⅓ way in, every character repeated ad nauseam every single plot detail. After hearing the back story of the inn told, thought about then retold then rethought about then passed on to the next person who did the same thing…. Ugh. My breaking point was when Nathaniel, a young cook, was confronted for the 100th time on his connection to the inn
Tried book number 2 (which is two books), I disliked the main protagonist, Sarah, so much that I wanted her to get frozen and consumed by the ‘shadow’
I have a library full of horror, I love the genre, I even bought this book (out of credits) with high hopes. All I can say is ‘run away, run away’ and skip this book!
