"Hi, my name is Jimmy. What's yours?"
"I'm Wendy."
He squints his eyes as he looks at me. "You don't look gross."
"What? Who told you I was gross?" I drop my dolly to the ground and hold my fists on my hips.
"Everyone knows girls are gross." He rolls his eyes before continuing. "But I think we're going to be the best of friends."
The story of Peter Pan? Yeah… it didn't go quite the way you've heard. Hook's name is James. James Barrie. He met Wendy Darling when they were eight years old.
Peter is the bad boy who gets what he wants, even if he has to blackmail, or worse, to get his way. But what happens when he pushes Wendy too far?
This book takes place during the events of The Forgotten Beast. This is the villain's story, and it's part of a series of interconnected fairy tale retellings.
This childhood friends-to-lovers fairytale reimagining is not a dark romance, but it does contain darker themes.
This book contains dark and mature content, including situations involving abuse and violence. A full content warning list is available in the book preview and on the author's website.
