The references are sport coaches, successful people, self-help and cognitive literature. The approach is interesting, because what is proposed is tough, yet there is no too much self marketing-guru-mentor promotion. In my personal opinion, not all the elements described in the book are converging to the compound effect as the author is pretending. Nevertheless, overall is good coherent material. The book is written with the American reader in mind. Positives biased, encouraging to love your partner and show it every day, pleads for little incremental changes that compound in a fulfilment life, The Compound Effect is definitely a useful tool in the box of life improvement.
