Description
Meet Brady Hawk.
Former Navy SEAL. Former Peace Corps worker. Current blacks ops assassin.
To those with the highest security clearance, it's a line item known only as Project X. But to the half-dozen agents and personnel working for it, it's known as Firestorm, a black ops group so dark that the US president doesn't even know about them yet. And no agent is as skilled as Brady Hawk.
This box set includes First Strike, Deep Cover, and Point of Impact.

Almost an anti-drone rant
Ok, I get it, Paterson hates the use of drones in the war on terrorism. The first book beats you over the head with his paradigm. Please say that up front so readers or listeners can make an informed decision prior to purchasing the book.

Terrible. :(
Awful writing, equally awful narration. It’s difficult to believe this was published. No sophistication and not enough writing skill to pull you into the story.

Dropping this series
Characters shallow. Storyline equally thin.
Narration. Best Irish Arab accent I ever heard. Waste of time.

Don't Bother
The stories lack depth and detail. Problems are solved 'instantly' without a great deal of development, tension, or detail. We are told about the characters rather than letting their personalities and details unfold through actions. Simple story telling yet confusing story line. And stories are repetitive. Protagonist is sent on mission to save the world yet he spends a good bit of time 'black' with no support, while at least two other story lines are running back home. the narrator is ok. The attempt to do accents at times sound Irish. I turned the series off half way through the second book and went looking for something else to listen to. If you like a story rich in detail, character development try Brad Taylonr's Pike Logan, Jack Coughlin's Kyle Swanson,Brian Haig and Vince Flynn's Mitch Rapp.

Just could not bring myself to finish it!
What would have made The Brady Hawk Series, Books 1-3 better?
Better story writing and/or better narration. Pretty basic storyline, problem is that Patterson uses too many words in the back and forth of a conversation.
Would you ever listen to anything by Jack Patterson again?
I'd be hard pressed to listen to Patterson's writing again...the style is too elementary... almost mildly insulting at times.
How did the narrator detract from the book?
I believe Dwight Kuhlman just tries too hard. The voices all sound forced. I paused this book to listen to another narrated by Ray Porter. Porter is a fantastic narrator. Now, returning to this Patterson book, (I'm 8 1/2 hours into this 16 1/2 hour tri-book) I've decided I cannot continue with it. I'll return it without finishing... that's very unusual for me.
What reaction did this book spark in you? Anger, sadness, disappointment?
I was constantly asking myself, how much longer can I listen to this book.
Any additional comments?
Although I gave the book two stars across the board, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend either Jack Patterson nor Dwight Kuhlman

so bad, I had to write my first rieview
Think Naked Gun/ Airplane, if they were trying to be serious. The word cliche is an understatement. Every situation, every bit of dialogue, every character, hate to say even the narration, is so predictable, it should be a lame attempt at comedy. Sadly it's not even that. I suffered through the first book, waiting for it to reveal itself as an attempt at comedy, but... no. I cant believe this was published.

There is a reason for the discount
While these books may be classified as Mystery-Thriller (Espionage), they are not in the same league as Vince Flynn, Brad Thor, Daniel Silva and Mark Greaney. I had to punt one-third of the way through the first book. The characters are not well developed and there are large gaps of common sense on how they interact or work in this genre. (Espionage/Military – Tier One)
Skip them.

Sorry excuse, poor copy cat...
I had high hopes for this series, but after listening to the first of three books, it was clear that the author had no real knowledge of special operations or intelligence operatives and how they behave/speak/act. The plot and storyline are basically a complete rip off from other more notable series written by people that lived the life of special operators. Pretty certain they had to include 3 books for the price of 1 just to make up for the extremely poor quality.
I feel like listening to the 2 final books was a complete waste of time, but I felt a compulsion to finish what was already purchased/started... Found myself literally insulting the book out loud in the car while listening. These books/author are a complete rip off from series like Mitch Rapp, Grey Man, and Tier One (Jack Dempsey). Poor quality writing, tons of filler, completely inaccurate depiction of how an operator would act/speak/think - honestly sounds like a house wife wrote the book...
