After a surprisingly successful first investigation, Andrew Cheatham's cold case unit is considering murder this time around. No one knew that Paul Bernhard was in New York City. No one knows why he was brutally murdered. No one knows where to find the woman he was meant to be meeting on the night he died.
Trying to keep her mind on murder, Bessie finds herself getting distracted by the idea that someone might be staying in one of the supposedly vacant holiday cottages near her home. Two people have already been murdered in that particular cottage. The last thing Bessie wants is to find another body.
