Description
From the author of the Goodreads Choice Award winner The Spanish Love Deception, the eagerly anticipated follow-up featuring Rosie Graham and Lucas Martín, who are forced to share a New York apartment.
Rosie Graham has a problem. A few, actually. She just quit her well-paid job to focus on her secret career as a romance writer. She hasn’t told her family and now has terrible writer’s block. Then, the ceiling of her New York apartment literally crumbles on her. Luckily she has her best friend Lina’s spare key while she’s out of town. But Rosie doesn’t know that Lina has already lent her apartment to her cousin Lucas, who Rosie has been stalking—for lack of a better word—on Instagram for the last few months. Lucas seems intent on coming to her rescue like a Spanish knight in shining armor. Only this one strolls around the place in a towel, has a distracting grin, and an irresistible accent. Oh, and he cooks.
Lucas offers to let Rosie stay with him, at least until she can find some affordable temporary housing. And then he proposes an outrageous experiment to bring back her literary muse and meet her deadline: He’ll take her on a series of experimental dates meant to jump-start her romantic inspiration. Rosie has nothing to lose. Her silly online crush is totally under control—but Lucas’ time in New York has an expiration date, and six weeks may not be enough, for either her or her deadline.

What?
Can this be reposted with a different male narrator ? It is really hard to listen to which is a bummer. I have been waiting for this for so long

Horribly irritating
Really awful narrators. Female is exceptionally annoying and the male was trying to force being sexy to the point of it being laughable.

Narration nightmare
The female narrator was great but I had to choke down the male chapters and considered skipping them all together - way too over the top. The story is very trope-y but light and happy enough - you’ll love it if you like melodrama

Great story. Terrible voice actor.
Jennifer Jil was great... but Noah... he sounded like puss in boots, the cat from shrek, everytime he spoke as Lucas. I loved the story. It is a little bit slow at first but overall super sweet characters and story.

Narration poorly done
I enjoyed the story. Noah’s voice was too “breathy” and Jennifer was too enthusiastic. The phrases in Spanish pronounced both by Noah and Jennifer were both inaccurate, mispronouncing words like “preciosa” by saying the “s” also as if it were a “z” in Castilian Spanish.

cute with a lil spice
it was ok...I had to speed up the narration to 1.30 because the narrators spoke so slowly I couldn't deal.

Don’t Waste Your Time
I had high hopes for this book since I enjoyed ‘The Spanish Love Deception’. Unfortunately, this book disappointed on every level.
The story seemed forced. I got the sense the author felt pressure to create a second hit book; so this story felt forced. There were loose ends & story lines unnecessary (e.g. her brother, contractor). Plus the sex scenes were gratuitous & the whole “will they? Won’t they?” dragged on for far too long.
In addition, the narrators were AWFUL. I’ve never commented on narrators before, but I had to for this book. The female’s voice was annoyingly high and the male’s voice was trying to hard to be “sexy”. Plus his “female” voice for Rosie was grating.
Pass on this book-I wish I had.

Awful Female Narrator
I can’t make myself get through even the first few chapters due to the extreme and over the top enunciation and drama the female narrator uses. And Audible is not allowing me to return this which feels like a waste of a credit. Buy the book instead, which is what I plan to do now.

Horrible. Don't bother unless you like Nicholas Sparks
Terrible and annoying voices perform this lackluster story. If you want a good rom-com, look to J. Austen or K. Center

Make narrator ugh
Read it. Don’t listen. Male narrator was way over the top breathy and trying too hard for sultry, but missing.
