I am 80 years old and do not know how much time I have left on this beautiful planet. All four of my grandparents are long gone and I know very little about them. I know their names and where they lived, but not much else. Jude remembers her grandparents much better than I do, but again, they are long gone and details of their lives have washed away, gone with the wind, as though they might never even have lived.
So, while we are still alive, Jude and I have decided to write this little book for our own grandchildren, so that they will know and remember us. Maybe they, in their turn when they are our age, will add their own memories to this book, for their own grandchildren, so that this family story may continue growing..
