Richard Davidson's deep, assertive voice lends a sense of authenticity to Tom Browning's revelatory tales of pitching for the post-"Big Red Machine" Cincinnati Reds in the 1980s.
At one point, Browning admits to feeling a childlike awe when listening to his then-manager Pete Rose tell stories of the halcyon days of the 1970s, and Davidson elicits a similar feeling in the listener with his dynamic and stirring performance.
Historic moments in Reds history, such as Browning's 1988 perfect game, are brought vividly to life by the talented Davidson.
