Description
Marc and his party have finished their zeppelin and taken it out to try to discover other Safe Zones. Their intent is to set up trade routes between all the different Safe Zones in order to give them a better chance to survive.
The second Safe Zone they discover with the zeppelin is nearly as large as Any Port. It even has its own ring of outlier Safe Zones, or a partial ring at least. It appears that several of the smaller Safe Zones have been taken and converted into dungeons. With the safety of the larger Safe Zone apparently at stake, they bring the zeppelin down to help the larger Safe Zone however they can.
On return to Any Port, Marc accelerates his own expansion, his father having finally seen the wisdom of all the additional Safe Zones Marc wants in order to capture more land.
With setting up more of their own outlier Safe Zones, meeting new and interesting creatures, some of whom would like to kill and eat the party, making contact with new Safe Zones, and working with the satellite they recovered, Marc keeps himself busy in the aftermath of the System's arrival.

Overall amazing, more of that sweet sweet progression and new skill unlocks. I personally enjoy the attempts at contacting and befriending other intelligent species.

I can’t stop
How the author imagines up these crazy adolescent conversations is beyond me. They just go on and on. It’s crazy. And the MC still refuses to make the girl a girlfriend. He acted shocked when she wanted to combine their rooms. It is beyond beta. Does he even like her? And what’s going on with all the weird mom stuff.

Get rid of Jeff!!
This series is decent. Not great; but not so bad i didn't finish the available books. The m/c is a bit of a snowflake & the author obviously has some Freudian issues that are projected on multiple characters... however, despite all the juvenile dialog & unsophisticated characters, the overall story is decent.
The major exception to this is the authors insistence to allow an unlikable character, with few redeeming qualities, remain (& get worse) throughout the 1st four books.
For a "supporting role" character, Jeff gets treated as an untouchable by all. Nobody, including the more powerful M/C stands up to him with any conviction & substance. He brings very little unique talents to the mix, and those he does have are nowhere near enough to offset his bad qualities. The storyline is diminished by his character & the unrealistic latitude he's given to be a complete a__hole with almost no redeeming qualities. He is a standout spoiled & antagonistic juvenile among a party of juveniles.
It's more than a bit annoying to continually read/follow Jeff in yet another juvenile, selfish & detrimental exploit, to be confronted by one or more of his spineless party members... ultimately garnering no sanctions or punitive actions of any substance.
It's 3.5 books overdue for the M/C to give him an ultimatum to act like an adult & a teammate or get booted from the party, and maybe even from the safe-zone.
GET RID OF JEFF!!

Found this to be wasted credits.
They are all on the short side. I found how they all treated Jeff to be terrible. These are his friends and girlfriend, he needs better friends. Mark is the biggest ass of them all. Over all short, slow, and not well thought out.

A bit boring
There wasn't a ton of action in this one, just mostly world building, so be prepared for that.

I feel this book was just a filler!
Nothing happened accept they claimed a few more safe zones. No movement in the story accept at the very end and that’s only 4 minutes of story.
I like the series but I hope the author does a better job on book 4 or I will be done with this series.

I love this series besides for 1 person
Ok we get it Jeff has issues but I’m so tired of him. I get rid of these people in my personal life and don’t want them ruining a great series like this.

The weakest part of the series so far...
First the narration voice was good what means for me, I didn't dislike it, and it wasn't annoying. The Narrator has a nice range of skills to read in different voices.
The story wasn't quite engaging as in the last books, and a lot of things that happened in the City and inside the Dungeon were forgettable. However, when it comes to "LitRPG System Apocalypse" stories there isn't much out there, so I appreciate any series in this subgenre for that what it is. I just feel a bit more grim or some unexpected twists/reveals would help the overall story immensely. In the end, all LitRPGs are some kind of power fantasies, and I am missing the power in this fantasy or badass moments. Don't get me wrong, there were a few moments, just most of them are not memorable. When it comes to the overall story arch that was hinted in the last books (the Satellite and the Streaming broadcast) I am eager to know how it all continues because there wasn't much progression in "System Escape".
To my defense, this here is written a Month after I listen through this book, and I couldn't even recall exactly where it ended anymore. What is normally not a good sign. As I said, I like this series to continue to see where it's going next...
...so 4 out of 5 from me.
