Danica Nava
Drained by her high-pressure tech job, June Walker finds an escape in homesteading videos and the fantasy of a quieter life. When she finally hits her breaking point, she does the only reasonable thing: She quits her job and buys a crumbling sunflower farm in rural Oklahoma, where she grew up.
June thought her biggest challenge in restoring Sunshine Farm would be the rotting fences but soon comes to the crushing realization that “positive vibes” are not a business plan. Nothing, however, tests her resolve quite like running into her first love, the boy she left behind after her world imploded when she was seventeen. She’s back for a fresh start, not to unpack old heartbreaks.
Noah Abbott never left Love County. Between his family, his job with the local fire brigade, and a town that knows him inside and out, he has everything he needs—except answers. So when June Walker returns as the new owner of Sunshine Farm, Noah is determined to find out why the girl who once meant everything to him vanished without a word.
As old wounds crack open and attraction flares back to life, June and Noah are forced to reckon with their past and decide whether first love is a memory best left buried or the one thing worth replanting.

“Sunflower Season is full of grit, growth, and small-town charm. The story dives deep into what it means to chase bliss and fall in love against the odds. June and Noah are a couple you can’t help but cheer for! You’ll be kicking your feet and begging for more from Danica Nava!”—Maggie Gates, USA Today bestselling author of Blue Jean Summer
"Sunflower Season has all the Danica Nava trademarks: it’s poignant, charming, cheeky, and a masterclass in voice. June and Noah are beautifully flawed and entirely relatable as they navigate the tensions and sweetness of their second-chance romance. Nava thoughtfully explores heavy themes—questions of grief, belonging, and the scars of the past weave through the narrative as these childhood sweethearts find each other again as adults."—Brigitte Knightley, New York Times bestselling author of The Exquisite Torment of Loving Your Enemy
"Danica Nava takes us to the absolutely charming, if a little chaotic, setting of Sunshine Farm, where dreams are realized, memories are made, and love finds another chance. June and Noah embody everything you want in a second-chance romance, from their tumultuous past to their unrequited yearning over the years to their reluctantly optimistic faith that this time everything will work out. With its humor and wit, every page of Sunflower Season will have you grinning and kicking your feet.”—Nisha J. Tuli, USA Today bestselling author of Not Safe for Work
"Sunflower Season is a beautiful second chance romance filled with Danica Nava's classic humor and heart. Cinematic and transportive, it made me want to go to Sunshine Farm! June and Noah are a couple to root for, and it was a joy to watch them find their way back to each other."—Naina Kumar, USA Today bestselling author of Just a Highland Fling
"Danica Nava has done it again with this charming, witty, heartfelt romcom. Sunflower Season is packed full of small-town feels and second chances. I just loved our two leads, June and Noah, who must both overcome so much to find their way back together, and the well-drawn cast of secondary characters is an utter delight! A must-read for any season!"—Keshe Chow, Sunday Times bestselling author of Strange Familiars
