    Very enlightening account of the history of the region and the complexity of the human element of the conflict, good and bad. I feel like I have a much better grasp and overview of the many motivations and forces that create this "global" flashpoint. Told in an easy to follow account despite the amount of information, I catch myself feeling like I am reading a realistic fictional spy novel, but I have to remind myself of the reality of its context and of the life and death implications real people.
