À propos de cette écoute
Taking refuge in a world of his own to escape the turbulences of his dysfunctional family loses its appeal when witty teenager Sky Buckers questions the purpose and meaning of his existence. It doesn’t take long for Sky’s cousin and accomplice Martin to join him in the quest for truth. From Los Angeles to Venice Beach, Malibu, and Tulum, their determination to unravel life's true identity will lead them to dare the unknown and face fears with iron fists.

Wandering is a main thematic in this book, sometime physically through L.A.’s iconic sceneries, sometimes through Sky’s own thoughts, as he’s obsessed with getting to comprehend the bigger picture of the world: the meaning of life and death.
Along this didactic travel, he’ll learn about risks and rewards, making mistakes and learning from it, distinguish trust from credulity, juggle between hope and despair, secunded by his cousin and other colorful protagonists met on the way.
This audiobook was overall very pleasant to listen to, not only the story but also the way it is told: the direct speech -for inner thoughts as well- makes it very dynamic and well suited for an audiobook. The descriptive narrations are poetic, immersive and colorful.
Finally kudos to the narrator, who really succeded to embody the different characters and reveal the poetic sound of these words through the whole book!
A journey through the inner and the outer world of a teenager
