This has been such a rollercoaster, I felt like I was following Citra and Rowan's adventure as if they were right in front of my eyes

This was my first audiobook experience, and I was thrilled the whole way, always wondering what would happen next, and somehow the story always surprised me

It's been a while since I read such a captivating story! 10/10 :)

I am an English Literature teacher and a Writer and my 16 year old student, recommended this incredible book to me. I am blown away by the brilliant idea behind this novel. Citra and Rowan, are apprentice Scythe’s who against their natures must become consummate killers in a society where immortality has been achieved. The plot, the characters and the universal messages are stunning. The narrator’s weighty performance is perfect for the depth and darkness of the subject. A must read/listen!!!

Entertaining, although I felt the treatment of some interesting questions like the method to avoid overpopulation or the way the thundergead managed politics was either shallow or simply avoided. One would think itd more reasonable to enforxe birth control thank to simply kill people, and even when deciding to kill people it would seem much more fair to just do it for those above a certain age, and it would certainly be less cruel to deliver a painless death than to try and reproduce natural deaths. Also, I have trouble to believe a superpowerful ai capable of reviving people couldnt make extraplanetarian collonies work, and the reason is not explained in the book. Overall, I miss such justification of the whole mission of the Scythedom .
It was good to pass the time, but I dont think ill be reading the sequels.
