Frank Fitzsimons, a literary agent, convicted of a crime he has no knowledge of - only its punishment - struggles to find purpose. Also, this female-dominated association functions under the rule that men are subordinate to the will of women. As in any society, when power corrupts, too much power corrupts completely. Frank Fitzsimons finds himself caught in a web of deceit and is forced to make a decision that will upturn his life.
