"There is only one Salvation and one way of Salvation to God; Only through Jesus Christ."(Acts 4:12)
"What happened in the past, propels itself into the present, and comes to fruition in the future as a complete package of the Saving Grace already won by Christ on the Cross." (John 3:16-17)
Hence, the three-in-one position of:
- "We have been saved" in time past through justification
- "We are being saved" presently through sanctification
- "We shall be saved" in the future in glorification
The author affirms that believers are expected to take up their cross and follow Christ daily till the end of their earthly journeys with fear and trembling (Philippians 2:12). Salvation is an active and not a passive act. What an amazing saving.
