In theological terms, it is called the doctrine of eternal security or the doctrine of the perseverance of the saints. The book's first part describes the biblical arguments in favor of eternal security.

The second part answers many controversial objections to this doctrine like the impossibility of renewal (Hebrews 6: 4-6), the willful sin (Hebrews 10: 26), abiding in the vine (John 15: 1-6), the unpardonable sin (Matthew 12: 31-32), free will, apostasy cases in the Bible, divorce and remarriage, and suicide.
