    Description

The instant New York Times best seller from the author of Sometimes I Lie

    Ten years of marriage.

    Ten years of secrets.

    An anniversary they’ll never forget.

Adam and Amelia are spending the weekend in the Scottish Highlands. The remote location is perfect for what they have planned.

But when their romantic trip takes a dark turn, they both start to wonder - can they trust the one they’re with?

Because every couple tells little white lies. Only for Adam and Amelia, the truth is far more dangerous.

"Chilling and clever, with a twist so sharp you’ll get whiplash. Rock Paper Scissors is the kind of blistering one-sit read that Alice Feeney is just so incredibly good at." (Chris Whitaker, author of We Begin at the End)

"Deliciously dark.... An exquisitely constructed, hugely entertaining thriller.... I loved it." (Catherine Ryan Howard, author of The Nothing Man)

"A perfectly-plotted thriller that hooked me from the opening scene.... A scissor-sharp portrayal of a marriage on the rocks. Atmospheric, entertaining and clever." (Philippa East, author of Safe and Sound)

"Not just fiendish but positively Feeneyish - dark, ingenious and very clever." (Cara Hunter, author of Close to Home)

"A cleverly crafted novel with a grand twist." (Stella magazine)

Great story and great voice actors

This story has a great flow and some wicked twists and the voice actors really did the characters justice! Highly recommend

    Well written twisted story

I always got the plot right from the get go.... I didn't this time... I love the Narrators and the story it self...

    Too many loose ends

It seemed as if the author started writing 3 different versions of one story and forgot to tie up all the loose ends after deciding on a final version.

    Unexpected turn

At first I didn’t know what to expect but the story caught me. Towards the end things fall in to place (trying so hard not to spoil things). The author sure has a vivid and twisted imagination! The narration by the talented Richard Armitage was amazing as always. I struggled a bit with the female narration due to her way of speaking.

If you're wavering, go for it...

I thought this was very clever; gripping without being overwhelming and a joy to listen to. Special mention for the narrators: excellent job!

Average story / female narrator OTT

Just finished this. I'm a big fan of domestic thrillers, but I found this one too far fetched and bordering on a ghost story at times. I prefer psychological thrillers that terrify you *because* they remain believable (like The Push). Re the audio experience: The female narrator was way too over-the-top for me; it took me out of the story a lot. Richard's narration on the other hand was amazing.

Really hard to listen to Stephanie Racine

Richard Armitage does a great job, but Stephanie Racine tells the story far too theatrically and dramatically. Almost like you would have read to children in former times.
It's really hard to follow the story in this unnatural way. and it took me several tries to understand that there are two different women because she speaks them without distinction.

I can't judge the story because I keep losing the thread and can't concentrate on the content. Too bad.

    spannend Mit unerwarteten Wendungen
