On the last leg of a 3-week tour, Road Warrior & traveling sales rep Nick Bellows is on a mission to introduce to his list of long-time clients the emerging world of e-commerce. The World Wide Web holds the promise of transforming his clients’ businesses, but also presents the risk of making Nick’s own beloved job obsolete.
Exhausted from 17 uninterrupted days of travel, redundant presentations and concerns about his own future, the last leg of Nick’s tour includes a city he hasn’t set foot in for 2 years. Well-liked and welcomed by his customers, Nick’s hope of an easy wrap-up is upset when he is forced to face the vestiges of a failed love affair and its aftermath from his last visit to this town.
Reminders from this past, at first merely annoying and avoidable, soon become unnerving and ultimately tormenting as they escalate in intensity and frequency, methodically trapping Nick in an inescapable situation. Ultimately, Nick is confronted with a horrific truth that threatens both his life and the lives of those around him.
