Description
The scorching, escapist new thriller from the Sunday Times bestselling author of The Castaways
WE WERE DYING FOR A HOLIDAY
The six of us arrived on that beautiful Greek island dreaming of sun-drenched beaches and blood orange sunsets, ready to lose ourselves in the wild freedom of a weekend away with friends.
On the first night we swam under a blanket of stars.
On the second night the games began on our clifftop terrace.
On the third night the idyll cracked, secrets and lies whispering on the breeze.
And by the final night there was a body on the rocks below . . .
WHO WOULD KILL FOR IT?
Commentaires
"Lucy Clarke goes from strength to strength; this utterly addictive trouble-in-paradise novel is her best yet. The plot shifts like sand beneath the reader’s feet." (Erin Kelly)
"I’m breathless; I raced through the last third hardly coming up for air. Talk about twists and turns.... This is going to blow everyone’s socks off!" (Emma Stonex)
"I loved One of the Girls: beautiful writing, suffused with menace, complicated female heroines and an ending I couldn’t predict." (Gillian Mcallister)

Touching
This audio book touched me like only few books ever did. It's of course full of surprise and tension like a good thriller should be but it's so much more. The author is a master of cliffhangers so it's too hard too ever pause for sleeping. And it goes so deeply and realistically into psychological patterns of personal development, different ways of dealing with personal crisis, friendship, love an brother-sister-relationships. You can feel with all the main characters even though they are all so very different to each other and to you as reader. They are so vivid as if they would be standing in your flat. I love this book. A real highlight amongst a series of amazing books from this author. One must also read the one with the plane crash. Well, praising words cant do justice to this book it is truly art!
