His first cookbook, Old Time Hawkey's Recipes from the Cedar Swamp, features 100 cozy recipes divided into four categories: indoor, companions, campfire, and drinks. Comforting recipes like Banana French Toast, Dutch Oven Nachos, and Pine Needle Tea are accompanied by recommendations for movies, games, and music. 

Fritz is a storyteller by nature; he includes stories about his life in his Michigan cabin (with his dogs Donnybrook and Kris Draper), which reveal how the nature around him shapes his cooking. This audiobook takes you on an adventure through the forest, then helps you cook a comforting meal before drifting off to sleep.

Old Time Hawkey, aka Fritz, along with his loyal dog companions, Donnybrook & Kris Draper, began creating online content in May 2020. His videos highlight the simple joys in life around their small cabin; bonfire cooking, camping, or staying in for a night of retro video games.
