Spring has sprung, and the first nice weather of the year send campers and hikers out into the woods in droves. One unlucky hiker reported that they saw a body, but that they couldn’t remember the exact location.
When amateur sleuth and dog trainer, Eve, and her bold, brave cadaver dog Atlas go out to recover it, there’s no body, but it’s clear something was afoot. After receiving a report of suspicious activity on the small lake at night, Atlas and Eve stretch their abilities to conduct a water search.
Finding the body is only the tip of the iceberg, because no one has reported the woman who was killed as missing. In fact, by all accounts, she still seems to be alive–her social media account is active, someone has been bringing her packages in, and Eve discovers that the victim even called a few days after her death to cancel a dentist’s appointment.
