In this book you will find information about Norse mythology. Norse mythology, or Scandinavian mythology, is the body of mythology of the North Germanic people stemming from Norse paganism and continuing after the Christianization of Scandinavia and into the Scandinavian folklore of the modern period.
Most of the knowledge used to create this book is from the Icelandic historian and poet, Snorri Sturluson, who wrote The Prose Edda around the year 1200.
The Norse gods and goddesses were loved by the Vikings. The Vikings came mainly from Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Iceland, the Faroe Islands, and Greenland.
People around the world have been fascinated and inspired by Norse mythology for centuries. In the late 20th century, references to Norse mythology became common in science fiction and fantasy literature, role-playing games, and eventually other cultural products such as Japanese animation and Hollywood movies.
