The city was losing the war on drugs. The epicenter of New York City’s crack trade was Southeast Queens, where the Supreme Team and their associates had ruled through intimidation and violence. The crack epidemic and crack wars that followed wreaked havoc on the citizens of those neighborhoods.
Having worked in Southeast Queens during the crack era, George Norris witnessed firsthand the decay brought to the community. This autobiography combines the history of the Southeast Queens crack trade, the NYPD, and war stories from one of the NYPD’s most decorated officers.
