so vain..
Kept hoping for a redeeming quality to come through.. like yes, my I exploit my body for money.. BUT my brain and heart are what matters.. there was none of that. Stories upon stories of being a hot girl. Truly feels like all she cares about and values herself upon are her looks.

Written with candor and insight.
Her experiences as a woman growing up in this society were very relatable, even if you're not famous for your looks. Exceptionally well written.

I don’t feel so alone
Emily,
Your stories have a great vulnerability and curiosity to them that I think any beautiful young girl relates to at some point. Feeling the power your sexuality gives you then finding yourself used and powerless. It’s a hard things to live through and understand and you did it all under mass media coverage. I admire you and I feel close to you. I feel my body will carry me in proper function no matter what. Thank you.

The sad story of a pretty woman
I was trying to find something positive about her life, but this is a compendium of all the different disgraces of having a beautiful body. And kind of questioning it’s ownership. (Btw you are the owner, just to set the record straight ) . And It’s also about men trying and taking advantage of her, physically and economically.
I would say is also entertaining. She goes into detail narratives of for example the blurred lines video production that’s fantastic intimate view of affairs. Until of course someone, in this case Robin, grubs her and kills the whole story.
No happy endings yet.
Awesome that she narrates the book, great hearing your story form your voice, and did I feel at some point you cried ?
Anywho, Emily, hope you find happiness. Don’t complain about been beautiful, ultimately it gave you everything you are.

Life Changing!!
I'm a 56 yo mother of a 25 yo daughter and I just texted her that she and her friends need to get this book IMMEDIATELY!!! Emrata (her insta name) is such an incredibly complex, insightful, deep and brilliant storyteller! I could SO relate to this book and it helped me reframe a lot of situations that have occurred in my life for which I have felt shame and regret. I love autobiographies and have read everything from Madeleine Albright to Keith Richards but this is by far the most well written, compelling, important, and relatable autobiography I've ever read!! I can't understand the critics of this book - its magnificent and honestly I think will be one of the most important feminist/human biographies of this era!!! Thank you for truly changing my life!!!

My body
I wasn’t really going into this book with a great deal of expectations but ended up really loving it and being able to relate in some type of way. If you need a book to make you feel empowered in your own body and realize that every women has different struggles and different point of views I would recommend it

A must read/listen for every woman (or man that want to understand women)
What does go through a woman’s head while she is being sexualized? Most women experience situations were they are treated in that way at least in some moments of their life. Does a woman simply enjoy all the attention, or is there more to it? So much more depth than I had expected! I bought it out of curiosity but now I feel like I understand parts of me and the struggles we all know as women a lot better. Her story and thoughts explore all the issues connected to a woman’s image, how she is perceived but more importantly the inner dialogue that comes with the world perceiving you, and what it does to a person. It’s a really beautiful book and I enjoyed the way Emily read it too. Listened to it all in one go.
