Mike and Scrag is a heart-warming story about a lonely boy who stutters. When the neighborhood bullies taunt Mike and are about to hurt him again, a stray dog intervenes and scares the boys away. Mike names the dog Scrag and they become inseparable friends.
When the two of them encounter a disastrous situation that is rapidly putting others in peril, they must think fast. What should they do? If they try to help, they could die. If they don't, then others may perish.
