Great stuff but missing links are unfortunate
I like this presentation very much, but there is a problem which people might want to know about before ordering. Early in the presentation, the author refers to links to Eckhart's writings which are on his website. Well, that website no longer has the links. I contacted the current website administrator, and that was what they told me. The links are no longer available. My overall rating would be much higher if there were functioning links to the written material.

The Author’s Profound Understanding of Eckhart’s Teachings
This is not a collage of Eckhart’s sermons and quotes. It is Dr. James Finley’s take of Eckhart. I love James Finley, his insight, his style, and his calm voice, so I enjoyed this audiobook and learned more from it than I would if I was to read Eckhart’s words directly. If you hope for raw Eckhart’s words you will be disappointed.

Very repetitive, and out of subject
This book should never have had "Meister Eckhart" in the book title; the author talks overwhelmingly more about himself, and every other eastern spirituality than actual words of Meister Eckhart (book title)
the author repeats himself over, and over, and over again; the whole book could be narrated in 15 minutes.
That's my 2 cents.

Meister Echart or just general spirituality?
What would have made Meister Eckhart's Living Wisdom better?
include more of Eckhart's complete quotes.
What was most disappointing about James Finley’s story?
It offers nothing new
It reads like any other "general" spiritual book
What makes Eckhart stand out? nothing according to the author. Anyone could have written a similar book.

Outstanding teaching!
Here Dr. James Finley brings the timeless contemplative traditional message to our generation, he brings the eternal to the day-by-day realities of our lives. This is the best teaching available to those called to the path of the contemplate tradition...the best, you will not be disappointed!

Profound Teachings and Guidance
I listen to James Finely audios teaching over and over to realign myself with intention and touching of this deep interior reality. I consider James Finley a spiritual mentor. NOTE: the music chosen to bridge chapters was experienced as a ‘cognitive and emotional dissonance’ for me. It was jarring in a way that was not helpful.

Wanted to like it
I’d like less interpretation of the original texts and more direct translation. While not an easy task, his effort to convey the underlying meaning was not effective for me. He seems to repeat the same phrases over and over as if to answer my “how come?” with “because I said so”. Now I’m thinking back to a quote in the first chapter about how you know if you’re speaking the truth, and it won’t be so much that you’re speaking it, as it is being spoken through you (paraphrasing). It did not seem to be the latter.
