    The Medici family offers such a powerful narrative! But the book is obsessed with alliances and fights. Although these were determinants in Cosimo's live, very few is said about what he did for Florence.
    Very few is said about his family. Quite nothing about the Médici bank and the economic power of the family.
    The reading is quite OK except when it comes to women voices.
    On the whole, a well documented historic book, but which lack of an epic strength.
