Also a highly acclaimed voice artist, she received the Grammy Award for Best Spoken Word Album for Children for Listen to the Storyteller.

Wonderful!!!
I loved the performance of Kate Winslet! She can bring characters to life and the story is just great for any age, but especially for young kids

Classic Dahl wickedly funny
The wonderful book beloved by so many children is perfectly interpreted by Kate Winslet.

Fabulous!
Excellent interpretation by Kate Winslet who is a gifted storyteller. The storyline needs not be reviewed again as it is obviously one of the greats.

Je n'ai pas vu passer le temps !
Un vrai plaisir de re-découvrir cette histoire en version authentique. Des différences avec les versions télévisées, mais une belle expérience d'écoute.

Incroyable!
Le livre est bien évidemment un chef-d’œuvre de la littérature pour enfant…mais la façon dont Kate Winslet le raconte le rend encore plus incroyable! Il y a tant d’énergie, de douceur, de rythme!
Voilà le genre de livre audio que j’aime où le narrateur apporte réellement quelque chose en plus!

Selten so gute Sprecherin gehört
Die Geschichte von Matilda ist skurril, voll von überzeichneten Stereotypen, die den Hörer schmunzeln lassen. Der Humor ist britisch, die Erzählung gespickt mit irren Ideen die teils laut auflachen lassen ob ihrer Unsinnigkeit. Herrlich.
Die Sprecherin ist unglaublich - unglaublich gut! Sie hat so viele verschiedene, wunderbar passende "Stimmen" in ihrem Repertoire, das es eine reine Freude ist, dem Buch zu lauschen. Bisher die beste Sprecherin, die ich hörte.

Ich mochte es sehr, wie Kate es vorgelesen hat. Ich hab sie direkt vor mir gesehen und ihre Begeisterung für die wunderbare Geschichte gespürt- so soll es sehr sein.❣️

Die Sprecherin versucht es zu sehr
Klar handelt es sich hier um ein Kinderbuch, aber selbst dafür übertreibt die Sprecherin einfach zu sehr. Es wirkt zu gewollt und nach einer Zeit nervt es nur noch, teilweise bis ins Unerträgliche. Die Geschichte an sich ist selbst für ein Kinderbuch etwas zu flach meiner Meinung nach.
