As Maldev and Istobarra journey forth to investigate new dark elf activity, Maldev reminisces about his past. The highly chaotic dark elf explains his background and Istobarra finds that there is more to him that meets the eye. They both discover how their lives have intertwined and how they now share the same fate.
Only learning about the past can they hope to survive the present and prepare for the future. Matron Mother Elg’caress Barrindar prepares for her accessions to the first house, but finds that her attempts have been thwarted time and again. She starts her investigation that will lead her to a startling conclusion and eventually to a life changing experience. This book continues the epic adventures of the Orbbelgguren series.
