À propos de ce contenu audio
In October 2012, a 15-year-old girl from the Swat Valley in North-western Pakistan was shot by the Taliban. Seriously wounded with three shots fired at her, with one bullet entering and exiting her head, she was airlifted and brought to the intensive care unit of a hospital in Birmingham, England. After months of treatments and surgeries, she was back to attending school in Birmingham.
This 15-year-old girl was Malala Yousafzai, who soon became an inspiration for her exemplary courage in fighting for her rights against the Taliban and surviving a near-death attempt on her life. Soon, in 2014, she became the youngest person to win the Nobel Peace Prize.
Who is Malala Yousafzai? Why was the Taliban so scared of a 15-year-old girl that they attempted to kill her? What great humanitarian work was she doing that she won the Nobel Peace Prize at such a young age?
Continue listening and you will soon find out everything about this inspirational girl from Pakistan.
