A former Marine enters the world's first virtual war. Then the game breaks.
Former Marine Reeve Williams signs up for what should be the ultimate combat simulator: a fully immersive virtual battlefield where soldiers train, compete, and wage war without risking real lives.
Then the simulation is hacked.
Players vanish. Entire zones transform overnight. Enemy forces evolve beyond their programming. Strange glitches begin appearing across the battlefield, revealing secrets buried deep within the system.
Cut off from command and stranded in hostile territory, Reeve sets out to find survivors and uncover the truth behind the attack. Along the way, he'll battle killer mechs, explore corrupted game worlds, and team up with allies inspired by the classic games he grew up playing.
What begins as a training exercise becomes a fight for survival as Reeve and his unlikely companions race to stop the forces tearing the simulation apart.
If they fail, there may be no way out.
