Johnny and the Spider is a children's book written for all ages; this audiobook may be played for very young children by an adult who is able to explain the didactic nature of the story.
This story takes place in the backyard of a boy named Johnny. His house abuts a national forest. Johnny is an imaginative lad who invents a game where he is on a quest. Johnny is stalking the shadow of an immense bear while armed with a popgun. During his adventure, the lad encounters a talking spider that tells Johnny his young mind cannot be trusted regarding what is real and what is not real.
