This was the question George Lucas asked when he started writing the Star Wars prequel trilogy in the mid-90s. Time and time again, we are fraudulently told to consent to the government's authority because they are trying to "keep us safe". Through over 150 footnotes and references, Konspiracy Kyle shows us that the Galactic Empire in the Star Wars galaxy is no different than totalitarian regimes in our galaxy. Just as the empire was eventually thwarted, the authoritarians in our world can also be defeated....but you have to have hope.
