The concept of good vs evil, a.k.a. the dual nature of man, isn’t reserved for works of fiction like the story of Jekyll and Hyde. It became my reality. This is the story of how I found myself in an inner war with my own form of “Hyde” that ripped my life apart and left me all alone, in the dark, and ready to die. Where had “Hyde” come from? How had he taken over my life? How can he be defeated?

I have discovered this principle of life - that when I want to do what is right, I inevitably do what is wrong. I love God’s law with all my heart. But there is another power within me that is at war with my mind. This power makes me a slave to the sin that is still within me. (Romans 7:21-23 - NLT).

What is this “power within” that is at war with Paul’s mind? Paul may have had to battle with a “Hyde” of his own. Was I any different than Paul? Are you? Have you allowed “Hyde” to take control of your life? When you finally come face to face with the monster within, there are only two choices, either Hyde or Seek.

Choose wisely.
