This book offers a detailed explanation of how Jesus actually fulfills the Old Testament, focusing on messianic prophecies, messianic roles, Israel’s exodus from exile, Mosaic Covenant ceremonies and feasts, as well as unfulfilled prophecies. It challenges the view that fulfillment in Jesus means He "transforms" or "dissolves" Old Testament promises into Himself, a perspective known as metaphysical personalism. Through an inductive study, Michael Vlach demonstrates that Jesus is the means by which Old Testament predictions and expectations are literally fulfilled in all their dimensions, with all the parties involved in the promises and prophecies.
