She faced blood, gore, violence, and grief in urban and country morgues. She worked for the federal government and internationally in mass disasters. Mary Jumbelic, M.D., is a board-certified forensic pathologist who has performed thousands of autopsies. She received awards from the National Transportation Safety Board and the New York State Senate, and has been recognized by the National Organization of Women as a trailblazer.
