David and his two inhuman partners, Evelyn and April, just learned the hard way that the abandoned cabin they've tried to make their home isn't going to work out.
After a midnight assault left their makeshift home in shambles, David sets out to seek a more defensible home. As he discovers it in the form of some nearby campgrounds, the trio begin making a new home and learning how to manage their budding relationship.
But it's never easy. Undead horrors and murderous thieves who stalk the nearby frozen forests and the relentless cold of winter are all making it hard to stay alive. On top of that, they keep encountering desperate survivors, and David is learning that he can't just turn a blind eye to their suffering.
