Doing marriage God's Way

I read this book before I married over 30 years ago and would highly recommend it to any new couple. It is one of the best pre-marriage books available for believers.

A wonderful refreshing teaching on marriage.

Often books on marriage have the same or similar teachings. This man of God shares his experiences regarding his marriages through his personal relationship with Jesus. There is a depth here and a maturity in this book that I have been wanting to find. It was wonderful to me. Marriage is not for your personal selfish gain. Successful marriage requires serving and sacrifice that yield great blessing.

Deep insights

Listening to this audio book went beyond words to deeply resonate in my spirit. It went from words on paper to instructions on how to enjoy a godly marriage. It felt surreal how spiritual marriage can be; at the same time, I felt encouraged that this institution, which was introduced by God is naturally bound for success if He (God) is fully involved in it.

Words are just not enough.

God is a Matchmaker

I grew up in a polygamy environment. I never saw myself being married or cared about marriages even though I am always happy to see couples marry. At about age 32 about September 2018 I started having desires for a husband. In 2016 a pastor anointed my married finger, to my surprise I wondered where this was coming from because I was not dating or had anyone in mind to whom I would marry. I have to say looking back that God already has things in place for all of us.In December of 2018 my sister gave me a ring to put on my married finger saying the Lord told her to give it to me. She said pray and exercise your faith in God. My church now has a fellowship group referred to as Life Group, Life Group features a group of christian persons coming together to fellowship once per week about a particular topic. I signed up and the theme for our group is God is a Matchmaker. I do believe that this is Gods plan for me. This book has opened up my mind so much, it is biblical and the things outlined are drawn from bible scriptures. I am wowed when I see how God has our life laid out for us all we need to do is walk accordingly.

Life changing read.

Very powerful testimony of Derek Prince and his each wife and how the Lord lead them into each marriage. He was married in his youth to a wonderful Danish believer who ran an orphanage. after her passing the Lord had more plans for Derek, particularly in that of procuring Ruth as a second wife. This book is so helpful for anyone wanting to follow God's design for marriage. the testimonies included are very helpful.

new found HOPE

while reading this book I had many moments of utmost Joy. I found a hope that didn't quite exist before. I'm so thankful for our Savior Jesus Christ. and the grace and mercy that comes from God. whatever God's will have for my life let it be done. in Jesus name!!! thank you Ruth and Derek!!! you both have been a true example of God's astounding love!!

Amazing Book!

This book has given me so much more insight into marriage, purpose, singleness/single season, walking with God, serving, divorce and life as a Christian.
The format (testimonies, chapters from both authors) was really helpful.
Would recommend to any believer and unbeliever to better understand God and marriage (and even understanding ourselves).

What all need to hear

As a single woman at age 50 these words gave me peace to my singleness.
