Christmas has not been filled with happy memories since Emilyn Owens left her small town of Berry Grove. She comes home to visit her sister, who has taken over the family’s bakery, Sugar Street Treats.
Thary Murray has been riding across country to outrun the tragic memories of his past. He’s taken a short-term job at the bakery and makes the best pastries anyone’s ever eaten.
When Emilyn’s sister becomes ill, she and Thary must work together to finish a gingerbread village promised as a fund-raiser for a children’s home. As they begin to open up to each other about the pains of their pasts, will this draw them into something deeper for the holiday season? Possibly love?
