Gemma is in her fourth meeting of the day with her third cup of coffee trying to listen while talking herself down from a panic attack. Will the day ever end? Will Jack ever stop talking? Doubtful. And what if she runs into that new guy that she keeps seeing? Will she talk to him? Unlikely.
Her chest tightens as her mind races. Calm down, Gemma. Just breathe.
Gemma is a business analyst at an insurance company in Boston. Daily meetings with her nemesis, Jack, cause inner conflict and bouts of anxiety which she does her best to alleviate. She is stuck in her head and her daily routine, that is until she meets Nate who works in the same building as Gemma. She is perplexed by his persistence and his gruff nature and in her mind she dubs him McGruff. He tries his best to weave himself into her life, as she tries her best to avoid him at every turn, with the voice in her head telling her not to.
How will Gemma cope with the day to day effort of struggling through the work day as well as running into this new guy that insists on knowing her?
