In 2034, virtual reality games are the norm, and every company has made one. The newest game on the market is Frozen Hearts, a cozy fantasy-centered world with mythical creatures. Compared to other games with darker themes and cyberpunk settings, some consider Frozen Hearts a flop. But for a niche group, the winter wonderland is their second home. People find the game to be their escape from their troubles, a haven for players of all ages and backgrounds.
Where no one can judge them as they roleplay the fantastical life of an adventurer, one of these players is a seventeen-year-old named Elizabeth. A brunette who's left alone all day by her single-parent mother and spends all her time on the net. She's thrust into the mob-infested lands only to be saved by a baby slime who clings to her like a puppy. Now, she has to take care of the couch-sized monster and get along with the strangers who let her into their gaming group.
Slime caretaking and hair-raising battles await in this low-stakes LITRPG adventure, where bonds made online are tested against the troubles of everyday life.
