À propos de ce contenu audio
The evolution of sensor, activators, processors, and connectivity have rendered context more visible in the performance of work. At our fingertips we now have much more data about contexts in which work is performed. Yet, this has yet to be employed in HPT planning. This audiobook explores the technological opportunities and limitations afforded by these technologies as these relate to planning to support human performers in work situations.
The audiobook begins with questioning the concept of a “systems approach” and how the revelation of contexts due to sensors has transformed the definition of “system.” Characteristics of sensor, activator, processor, and connection technologies are examined as these relate to successful accomplishment of human performance. The use of context data in the prediction of immediate and long-term changes is treated. Data from contexts are increasingly input to organizational tactical strategic planning. The implications of this data avalanche are probed.
