Ephesians has sometimes been called “The Gospel of the Church,” offering a vision of the church as a living body, an intimate and honoring community of love for one another, and a redemptive movement in the world. The church is people, not buildings or institutions—people who have found life in Jesus and who share the beauty of this life with each other and with the world. Ephesians calls believers to understand the beauty of the spiritual blessings God has given through Jesus and how people who understand this beauty may live their lives in mutual encouragement and love.
