In the city, life revolves around order and repetition. Emotions have become taboo. The city manages their subjects with a daily dose of Hyptiz, a powerful drug that wipes away any inkling of a feeling a person may have. For some, Hyptiz does not do the job. They continue to feel, and their emotions make them volatile and dangerous. It also makes them easy to spot, and once identified, they are rounded up and sent to the Silent Trees Wellness Center. A place where they can learn to control their powerful emotions. A place for the city to hide them.
Jane is a patient at Silent Trees Wellness Center. She's a Feeler, though not much of one, until a chance encounter releases something inside of her that burns like fire and cannot be stopped. There are others like her, and the wellness center does everything they can to control and study these powerful girls.The more Jane learns, the more she begins to understand. She is different from the other Feelers, and it is necessary that she escape the Silent Trees Wellness Center.
Beyond the walls of the city lay magical realms. Terrifying, unknown worlds that hold the key to who Jane truly is - and what she is.
