I totally enjoyed Brayden's most recent offering. I'm an age gap fan, and I love banter so there was a lot to love. Watching how the characters navigated the challenges thrown at them, both individually and as a couple was lovely.

Awful narration

While the story was good, I couldn’t get past the narrator. If they wanted to have Spanish words and names, they should have prepped the narrator. Tia, (aunt) was pronounced T-I-A, like spelling out the letters. And the main character’s last name, Ruiz, was pronounced terribly. I don’t speak Spanish, but I live in Los Angeles, and listening to the narrator murder the Spanish pronunciations killed the book for me.

Younger partner of age-gap was a petulant brat

I feel sorry for the older member of the pairing. She was treated horribly yet accepted it as "just punishment" for simply wanting her career to be considered on equal standing. This story is entirely one way for the younger half, the POV character. Only her career mattered. The older partner also was one dimensional, likely even in the author's head, which likely explains why she just went with the abuse.

The voice acting was quite good and I rated the VA appropriately.

Another slam dunk!

Honestly never wanted an MC to not get the girl until now. She was very selfish and her love intrested definitely could have done WAY better. The MC essentially got the perfect person while not really (imo) deserving her at all which was very disappointing. I almost didnt finished after realizing she wasnt going tonhave a redeeming arc. MCs love intrest just came back

All the Feels in this one!

This is a very well written story with imperfect characters. Melissa Brayden takes you on a wonderful journey of life and love. I fell in love with the characters, both main and supporting. I cheered them on and cried through their losses. This book was definitely worth the credit bought and I could not put it down. Buckle up Buttercup, and enjoy the ride..

Selfish main

Felt like skyler didn’t fully respect carrie beyond how Carrie made her feel. Selfish and unsupportive. Kinda hated her. Narration was okay

Good story

I liked this book, it took me few chapters to get into the story, I am not a fan of a first person story any more, but I decided to continue listening as I love Melissa Brayden’s books, so it became a good story.
Narration was good, but there recording not so much, there are some background sounds in some places and they were very high when using earbuds.

Low audio quaillity average book

While I luked other books read by Melissa Sternberg and its not her faul, the audio had a lot of background noise... At some point you can hear cat meowing...
