Alternative title: Ways to Earn Money Online

A more precise title for this book would be "Ways to Earn Money Online". In it, Dorie lists the various ways you can make money online (affiliate programs, online courses, masterminds, podcasting, etc).

That's all helpful, but mostly to newbies who haven't yet dipped their toes in the online marketing pool. Had it been titled with my alternative title instead, it would perhaps sell less? Books on "ways to make money online" are everywhere.

I had hoped for more of a HOW to create multiple income streams, as in: practical advice, and a larger portion of "here's what I have learned over the years" wisdom.

There is *some* of that, but not enough to satisfy what I'd hoped to find.

Still, it's a solid book, taken for what it is.

What I did find valuable, is that Dorie Clark cites concrete numbers for how much various online marketers have made and spend on advertising, download numbers for various podcasters, how many episode-downloads advertisers expect before they're interested in sponsoring your show, etc, giving the book realistic, concrete perspectives.

I also appreciated her honest assessments of mistakes she'd done in the past, product creation and marketing wise. I could certainly relate to the case where a case study had pre-sold an online course, launched it, sold one membership, and due to his integrity felt obliged to create a weekly video for one member, month after month. That's the hard-earned wisdom I wish more authors would write about. There's already so much "do this, do that, and voila: you'll be rich" content available. All it does, it lead people into the false idea that their next online undertaking is a piece of cake and bound to be successful. Knowing the hardships you'll encounter beforehand, is what WILL increase your chances of success.

That's why elite police units like SWAT and and special operations forces like the Navy SEALs are so good at what they do:
- they train with the *expectation* that things will get REALLY tough (the sh*t will always hit the fan),
- that every mission will seem *almost* impossible to accomplish,
- that everything that *can* go wrong *will* go wrong – and that it's rarely the things you expect to go wrong. So train to be adaptable: don't choke when it happens – adapt, reorientate, reprioritize and act on the new scenario with as little interruption as possible.

Dorie Clark's book does go some distance towards that mindset – but could go a lot further.

If you’re looking for something as practical as it is inspirational start here

Dorie Clark hits a home run with this book. I was 3 chapters into this audio book when I hopped on Amazon to purchase the physical hard copy. I’ve felt lost on where to start on my entrepreneurial journey. It seemed like I’d always be overwhelmed by the “how” and “where” to begin aspects of launching, diversifying, and monitoring my business. Thanks to Dorie’s book I know have a clear path and the inspiration to chase after it. Before I was afraid to even take the first step. Now I’m like chomping at the bit to get started. Thanks Dorie for this incredible resource.

This book is incredible!

If you’re looking to rev up your career as an entrepreneur, this book is for you. Dorie Clark unveils a variety of ways to boost your income with multiple streams of revenue. It’s brilliant content. And trust me when I say that when you start listening to this audiobook, you won’t be able to turn it off because it’s that good. The information presented is incredibly helpful and insightful. Thank you Dorie for a masterpiece!

This book presents and explains ways to create multiple streams of income for yourself by leveraging on the power of the internet and your strongest skills and areas of expertise, using blogging, pod-casting, vlogging, online audio and video courses, building email lists, offline consultancy, virtual assistants, affiliate marketing, online communities, joint-venturing, mastermind alliance groups etc. The author took the time to discuss each of these platforms with which a lot of entrepreneurs have generated multiples streams of income for themselves, giving them the ability to spend more time on other activities outside of work which makes life fun for them. This is a must read book for people who want to create multiples streams of income for themselves. If you are one of such people, read this book and thank me later.

Thank You Dorie Thank You

Very Very Good Book. I️ read 200 to 500 books per year and this is a top 10 for me. So much actionable and interesting content. I️ ordered the print copy for a reference book in my business library after reading “listening “ to only about half of this book. I’ve never done that. 24 hours ago I️ had never heard of Dorie—now I’m a fan for life. I️ read Fore Sight Focus yesterday by Navy Seal David Havens and he recommended this book. Thanks David. A great book for the the entrepreneur who is ready to level up!

I heard Doris on a podcast and immediately knew I needed to buy the book. I loved that the authors voice was on Audible. I felt like I was being taught one on one every time I listened. The easy to follow plan gave me hope for the future, validated my vision, and provided me the resource that I needed. I highly recommend this book.

Great book for any striving entrepreneur!

I have been on an eight year journey of trying to figure out how to develop a better model for my entrepreneurial journey. This has been a huge eye opening process for me and is helping me to see and realize the things that I want and striving for the passions that I have.

One of my new favorite books

This is going down as one of my favorite books ever. Tons of useful tips you can implement immediately. Dorie Clark, the author, narrates the book -it’s filled with passion and purpose. No monotone reading of the book here. Extremely well done.

this is sooooo helpful and insightful

This book is rich of information! great people have been interviewed, I love the stories Dorie has to share about them. I like that she is sharing her own insights, the broad approach and also the super clear action steps at the end of each chapter. I have read the only German review on the book in the audible app and I just do not share that point of view. I think Dorie reads her book in a really engaging manner and I think that if you're not a native speaker it might always happen that you have a hard time understanding. English is my second language and I get every bit of it! I love the book! It goes way passed the usual "You need a freebie and a converting opt-in form on your website" advice.

Viel zu schnell gesprochen!!!

Die Sprecherin spricht zu schnell. Inhaltlich war es nicht das, was ich erwartet hatte. Wollte keine autobiografische Erzählung eigener Erlebnisse, gemachter Fehler, „Motivationsgerede“. Seitenlang heisse Luft. Wollte strukturierte fachliche Anleitung. Die eigene Erfahrung als Beispiel zu einer fachlichen Erklärung einzubringen wäre OK. Aber seitenlang wie sie angefangen hatte, viel Zeit eingesetzt und wenig Geld verdient hatte, lange Geschäftsreisen mit Billigflügen....... wie viele Unternehmer excellente Leistungen bringen und wenig verdienen... sie wolle zeigen wie es anders geht. Dieses Buch sei eines von drei, also eine Trilogie! Wenn wir es also richtig machen wollen, dann sollen wir alle drei Bücher lesen/hören.... Schnell wird mir klar: Hier geht es nicht darum anderen wirklich einen Ratgeber zu präsentieren. Es geht darum Bücher zu verkaufen. Ein zweites „Standbein“ für die Unternehmerin. Es gibt da draussen so viele „ Schwätzer“ die damit Geld verdienen. Ich bin diese Leute Leid. Auch ihre Bücher. Ich bin interessiert an guten Sachbüchern und Ratgebern. Profis die es ehrlich meinen , zur Sache kommen und ihr „Werk“ mit klarem Sachverstand füllen, nich mit leerem Gerede. Wer bezüglich Sachbücher zur Unternehmensgründung & Marketing, einen Tipp hat, her damit.
