Jericho is a Paladin, a warrior of the ages given the task of balancing the scales of the universe to keep the very fabrics of time and space from tipping. Chronologically, he’s the first of the super-race.

Icarus, the cavalier Irish Paladin from the future, has single-handedly derailed Jericho’s Crusade, murdered thousands of people, stolen the life of one of his closest friends, and brought the world to the brink of destruction. The only hope of getting things back on track has been buried throughout history, pitting Jericho and Icarus against one another in a time-traveling race.
Despite the warnings from Sybil, his Partisan, and the all-knowing Cortex, Jericho knows the only way to stop Icarus is to kill him—an impossible task since Paladins aren’t supposed to be able to fatally harm one another. But, if Jericho can’t somehow stop the madman, then existence will collapse around him as the mighty cogs of time finally grind to a halt, buckling under the weight of total annihilation.
