Set in the winter of 1985 in the quiet town of Springfield, Echoes of the Train is a poignant story of love, loss, and survival. Seven-year-old Tabitha "Tabby" Monroe is abandoned by her cold, unfeeling mother on the steps of a church with nothing but a suitcase and a hastily scribbled note. Tommy, a respected doctor and pillar of the community, becomes entangled with three menacing figures—Mooch, Bristles, and Skully—who are part of an underworld threatening to destroy everything he holds dear.
