    I yelled at this book

    I really enjoyed part one of this duet, but I felt like the characters in this book made every predictable bad decision and I spent a lot of time yelling at the characters to act like mature adults.

    Why??? For the love of all why?

    Why do authors take strong women and make them STUPID...... Her leaving him and hurting him, took a fantastic story and screwed it all to hell! So disappointed! I know HEA happens, but making her go STUPID makes my eyes roll!!!

    Unloveable characters

    Apparently the new fashion in romance novels is to break one book into two short segments. Ahh, a money-making strategy worthy of the book's business genius hero!

    I really enjoyed the first book of this "duet" about an engagement of convenience that by the wedding at the end of Book One had blossomed into real love. The first book ended with a bombshell revelation just before the vows, and I was looking forward to seeing how the sort-of-but-not-quite-happy couple Weston and Elizabeth handled the potentially interesting dilemma their life together had suddenly become.

    Well, Book 2 was a major disappointment. The smart and interesting couple in a complex situation suddenly dissolved in the suds of soap opera. The characters do really stupid things (like the groom dancing with his ex-girlfriend before dancing with his bride, and the bride crying on her ex-boyfriend's shoulder about it, which as always happens in soap opera the groom saw and misinterpreted....)

    And as in soap opera, if you're the new husband who's just been hit with a major piece of life-changing news, of course you are not going to tell your bride about it, but let her stew and worry as you leave her alone in bed the morning after the wedding night. And speaking of the wedding night, I know Weston is supposed to be an aggressively dominant alpha male, but to tell your bride "I'm going to **** someone tonight, do you want it to be you or not?"---well, from that point on Weston pretty much lost me.

    AND if you're a young woman trying to prove you have the savvy and judgment to head up an international media corporation, of course you will call on your ex-boyfriend (who was sniffing around you while you were engaged and of whom your new husband is already jealous) to "check out" your new husband's background. Really? Good Judgment Call? Sayonara, Elizabeth.

    I've given this installment a 3, mainly because I fast-forwarded over much of the middle part, and there were a few interesting twists. But in fact I never warmed to any of the characters--not the main couple or the supporting cast, and maybe it should have been a 2. Also, I am a huge fan of Jacob Morgan, but he read the entire thing with an annoying lisp. I got the feeling his opinion of the characters was right there with mine.

    These books were both part of the Romance Package, so were essentially "free" for me, and I probably wouldn't have spent a credit on either of them. But I guess the interesting and unusual buildup of the first book made the experience worth it, and I'm happy now to hit "delete from device" on both of these.

    Not interesting

    After Sabrina and Donovan magnetic story, this couple's story just did not do it for me. Two rich somewhat mediocre people with daddy's issues are having issues together - I just could not relate to them on any level. Too bad.

    Story - Hard To Even Care / Narrators - Good

    It's hard to accept that these characters could be so childish and make such idiotic decisions. Never really liked the concept of a Duet - One story for the price of two! And I'm sorry this Duet has turned me off of this author as well. These characters are so foolish you finally just don't care. Won't even try to read another one. Narrators, on the other hand, did an excellent job.

    Love Weston and Elizabeth!!

    Elena Wolfe & Jacob Morgan Narration.. was amazing!! really love the way they make us feel, all the emotions and feelings through the whole story.. Elena really brought Elizabeths to life, he voice and narration really made me feel all the changes on Lizzy's character as the story was flowing.. Jacobs narration was amazing with all the different tones and voices for the other characters making the story more enjoyable .. really love their work!!

    .......

    I was literally dying to know what happened with Weston and Elizabeth and finally, they're here!!!

    Dirty Sexy Games is the conclusion of the Dirty Games Duet. We first met Weston and Elizabeth on Dirty Sexy Player, at the beginning their relationship was a little rocky as they both were fighting for their own interests but as the story continues we get to see how slowly their walls begin to fall.. what started as something planned ended in better terms..

    in Dirty Sexy Games, we see another side of the main characters. I feel like both have grown so much and have come to terms of what they want and need, making their love more evident and also a priority... no longer feeling the need to pretend..

    Elizabeth was a little shy or "naive" when we first met her, but the more the story flows, the more her character gets stronger.
    It feels like in Dirty Sexy Games she finally founds her uniqueness or identity in her own story as well as showing us a bolder side, and more connected with Weston.. her priority was her company and now she no longer knows what matters anymore.

    Weston was a little bit of a hot jerk at the beginning of the story but in Dirty Sexy Games his character also shows a different view. He still super hot and alpha, and let's not talk about the dirty sexy talking because he is a master in that but also he is more committed and more determines to make things work between Lizzy and him.. his speech, his feeling everything feel more different and more in love with Elizabeth..

    What I really like about Weston and Elizabeth story is how we get to see the transition in both characters.. owning their feelings and emotions.. no longer acting, pretending or hiding their love.. validating what they wanted and needed.. no longer paying attention to others.. forgetting about old agendas they finally understood they belonged together and that there was no case in acting differently. They'll fight to be together, no matter the obstacles life keeps bringing at them..

    I really love the Dirty Games Duet, Laurelin stories are always super hot and mind-blowing and this was not the exception.. Dirty Sexy Games definitely another favorite from Laurelin.

    Painful Mess

    Had I not listened to the others that predate this one, I never would have made it. What an abundance of useless words. Just s glutton of words for nearly the first 3 hours. Drawn out and ridiculous. This was a dirty, not sexy mess. It’s like the author lost her creativity with this one.

    Alright

    After the build up of book one this one has a built in fan base. It was anticlimactic. All the loose ends were tied up. I do believe the male narrator’s voice did it for me though.

    ABSO-BLOODY-LUTELY BRILLIANT!!

    All I have to say as my personal opinion is the following:

    If I could give more than 5 STARS, my end result should be15 DESERVING STARS!!

    STORYLINE = 4
    PERFORMANCE = 5
    STORYTELLING = 5

    OMG, I can't believe I went back and listen to the whole duet 3 times 🤩😍🤗 🤯🤯🤯 absobloodylutely brilliant!!
    The performance by Elena Wolfe & Jacob Morgan was Mind-freaking-blowing!! I have absolutely LOVED listening to this amazing duet and highly recommend it!!

    I didn't wanted it to be over 😭😭 Thanks Laurelin 🙌👏👏👏 You're the greatest!! Excellent choice of narrators ❤💕❤

    Reading the book went pretty fast since I've already listened to the audiobook, and as I stated before, I really enjoyed and loved following Weston and Elizabeth's journey. I thought the unexpected twists and turn of events gave the story the perfect amount of drama and angst, which was close to reality. I love it when authors don't over do it, because even though this is fiction, is a plus when it comes to a beautifully well-written story that is easy to believe in.

    I won't go into any detail because there has been plenty of sharing, and I hate to give any spoilers. However, all in all and as my personal opinion, this was a brilliant conclusion to the Drity Games Duet!
